SAF Australia Appreciation & Fundraising Dinner
Shahid Afridi Foundation Australia organised an Appreciation and Fundraising Dinner at Mercure Hotel, Liverpool on 28th Mar 2021. The purpose of the event was to appreciate the efforts of donors and supporters who actively participated in COVID19 Local Community Support, Ramadan Food Drive, Educate A Child Campaign and few other campaigns throughout the last 2 year. The second most important purpose was to kick-off SAF Ramadan Campaign and raise funds for Water, Education and Food projects.
Country Director Australia, Shahid Afridi Foundation, Mr. Syed Atif Faheem highlighted the 3 most critical issues which people in Pakistan are facing i.e. access to water, illiteracy and food insecurity. He briefed the audience about how Shahid Afridi Foundation through its Water, Education and Food projects is helping resolve these issues in Pakistan and people living in Australia can contribute to these causes.
The event was virtually attended by star cricketer Shahid Afridi and squash legends Jahangir Khan while sports journalist Dennis Freedman joined event in person in Sydney. Shahid Afridi and Jahangir Khan also addressed and answered many questions of the enlightened audience.
Mr. Mohammad Ashraf – Council General of Pakistan in Sydney was the Chief Guest of the auspicious event who was presented a shield by Country Director SAF, Syed Atif Faheem. While other awards were presented to SAF Australia donors, supporters and the team.

شاہد آفریدی فاؤنڈیشن آسٹریلیا نے 28 مارچ 2021 کو Mercuere Hotel, Liverpool میں ایک Appreciation and Fundraising Dinner کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس پروگرام کا مقصد ڈونرز اور سپورٹرز کی کوششوں کی تعریف کرنا تھا جنہوں نے پچھلے 2 سالوں میں لوکل کمیونٹی سپورٹ ، رمضان فوڈ ڈرائیو ، ایجوکیٹ اے چائلڈCampaign میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیا۔ دوسرا سب سے اہم مقصد SAF رمضان مہم کو شروع کرنا اور پانی ، تعلیم اور خوراک کے منصوبوں کے لئے فنڈ اکٹھا کرنا تھا۔
کنٹری ڈائریکٹر آسٹریلیا ، شاہد آفریدی فاؤنڈیشن ، جناب سید عاطف فہیم نے 3 انتہائی اہم امور پر روشنی ڈالی جس کا سامنا پاکستان میں لوگ کر رہے ہیں یعنی۔ پانی ، ناخواندگی اور کھانے کی عدم تحفظ تک رسائی۔ انہوں نے سامعین کو آگاہ کیا کہ شاہد آفریدی فاؤنڈیشن اپنے واٹر ، ایجوکیشن اور فوڈ پراجیکٹس کے ذریعے پاکستان میں ان مسائل کو حل کرنے میں کس طرح مدد فراہم کررہی ہے اور آسٹریلیا میں رہنے والے لوگ ان causes میں اپنا حصہ ڈال سکتے ہیں۔
اس ایونٹ میں کرکٹر اسٹار شاہد آفریدی اور اسکواش کے لیجنڈ جہانگیر خان نے online شرکت کی جبکہ سڈنی میں اسپورٹس جرنلسٹ ڈینس فریڈمین نے ذاتی طور پر اس ایونٹ میں شرکت کی۔ شاہد آفریدی اور جہانگیر خان نے بھی روشن خیال سامعین کے بہت سے سوالات کے جوابات دیئے۔
محمد اشرف۔ سڈنی میں کونصل جنرل آف پاکستان تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی تھے جن کو کنٹری ڈائریکٹر سید عاطف فہیم نے شیلڈ پیش کی۔ جبکہ دیگر ایوارڈز تنظیم کی طرف سے
آسٹریلیا کے ڈونرز کو ، سپورٹرز اور ٹیم کو پیش کیے گئے۔
