Message of the High Commissioner for Pakistan
H.E. Mr. Babar Amin on Eid-ul-Adha 2020
I wish to extend my heartiest felicitations on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Adha to the Pakistani community in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji,Vanuatu, Nauru and Solomon Islands.
On Eid-ul-Adha the Muslims across the world rekindle the time-honoured tradition of selfless sacrificeforbearance and tolerance. It is also a time for the joy of sharing and caring for others, especially those in need.
This Eid ul Adha comes at a time when the world islargely engaged in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. I am happy to acknowledge with pride the generous humanitarian and welfare work undertaken by our community in these trying times. Our community has strongly come up to lend a helping hand to the affected people in an exemplary manner.
While celebrating this day of supreme symbolic sacrifice, let us pay our earnest tributes to the great sacrifices being rendered by our Kashmiri brothers and sisters to realize their basic and inalienable right to self-determination. Pakistan would continue to extend its full political, diplomatic, and moral support to them and relentlessly work for a peaceful resolution of the issue according to their wishes.
I take this opportunity to commend to all Pakistanis within the country or abroad who are making selfless efforts for the progress and prosperity of their motherland in various spheres of life.
Please accept my heartfelt greetings for a very happy Eid ul Adha and best wishes for your health, well-being, and prosperity as also for your families.
Eid Mubarak!
Pakistan Zindabad!
